The Strangest of All Guests is at the Door

A genre-spanning concept album of sorts, where each song can be listened to as a different scene amongst a larger picture. Created during a year of living together, the album has developed into something none of us could have foreseen and no single member could have come up with on their own. The synergy and closeness that develops when sharing a life together allows for ideas to come not as much from individual members but from the band as an entity in itself, leaving us at times with a feeling of amusement of where half this music even came from.

Due to the free flowing nature of the material and the amount of days we spent each week jamming and writing together, a lot of the album has come out of an unconscious stream of ideas. The best approach we found was to try and remove ourselves from the picture enough to let whatever was underneath the surface present itself. That being said, the ideas, timings, structures, themes and soundscapes have been meticulously pieced together to give the overall album you hear. It could be said that this was as much a result of free-flowing, synergistic creation as it was obsessive, systematic revision, restructuring and reworking until we arrived at a point where the music accurately painted the scene envisioned during the development phases of the songs. Both parts we believe were equally necessary here.

Pay-What-You-Feel-Is-Fair

We've been told along the way that this idea is too idealistic, that no one will pay if they don't have to.

But so far we haven't found this to be true. We feel that in making this band we've had an opportunity to make whatever rules we want, to create our own little world. And why not make it the world we would like to live in?

The idea is pretty simple: we want everyone to be able to access our music, no matter their financial situation. Life is difficult, more so for some and less so for others. If you purchase our music for less than our asking price, that's perfectly fine â€“ but if you're able, please consider returning some day to further support us. On the other hand, if you believe our music is worth more than what we're asking â€“ if this music speaks to you, if it adds value to your life â€“ we encourage you to enter a purchase price that reflects that.
